Get Started

Steps to get Started

  • Income

Common Ground uses HUD AMI income limits as a criterion for our selection process with potential homebuyers. We will consider applicants whose household income is below 80% of the area median income for Chelan County.

  • Finance

All homebuyers must be approved for a traditional mortgage through a lender for the sales price of the home. We recommend meeting with a lender to get started. The journey to homeownership can take time so it’s a good idea to get started as soon as you confirm that you qualify for our requirements.

  1. Visit ’program details’ to review income and finance requirements HERE.

  2. Complete and submit Application.
This will help determine if you qualify as a homeowner for a Common Ground home and to stay up to date on future housing opportunities.

  3. Talk to a lender about getting pre-qualified for a loan. It’s never too soon to connect with a lender and get a sense of your mortgage-readiness. See list below.

  4. Sign up for a Homebuyer Readiness class.

  5. ’Subscribe’ to our newsletter
